Everything You Need to Know About Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Considering a stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort?

Here’s everything we experienced during our stay, including the rooms, pools, dining, EPCOT access, fireworks views, and more.

When Disney fans start talking about their favorite resorts, Disney’s Beach Club Resort almost always makes the list—and after our recent stay, it’s easy to see why.

Located in the EPCOT Resort Area, Beach Club combines a fantastic location, one of the best pool complexes on Disney property, and easy access to dining, entertainment, and two theme parks. During our stay, we explored the resort, enjoyed several dining locations, spent time at Stormalong Bay, walked to EPCOT, watched the fireworks from the resort area, and even took an evening stroll over to Disney’s BoardWalk.

If you’re considering booking Disney’s Beach Club Resort, here’s everything you need to know before you go.

Why Guests Love Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Beach Club is a Deluxe Resort located on Crescent Lake, directly adjacent to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The resort features a charming New England beachside theme, complete with light colors, coastal details, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

One of the biggest reasons guests love Beach Club is its location. You can walk to EPCOT in just minutes, stroll over to Disney’s BoardWalk, and even access Disney’s Hollywood Studios via the walking path or Disney Skyliner connection.

For many guests, the convenience alone makes Beach Club worth considering.

The Most Relaxing Spots at Beach Club

Beyond the parks and dining, Disney’s Beach Club has a surprisingly peaceful side. These quick clips show some of the calm, quiet moments around the resort.

Beach Club Room Tour

Our room was bright, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a Walt Disney World vacation.

The rooms at Beach Club offer a clean coastal design with subtle Disney touches throughout. While the room size is comparable to many other Deluxe Resort rooms, the layout felt functional and provided plenty of storage for a longer stay.

We especially appreciated the comfortable beds, convenient charging locations, and easy access to the main resort amenities. My teenager loved the fold down couch, and it fit him comfortably!

If you plan on spending time enjoying the resort rather than simply using it as a place to sleep, Beach Club offers a comfortable home base between park days.

Location, Location, Location

One of the biggest advantages of staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is its unbeatable location. From the resort, you can easily walk to EPCOT via the International Gateway entrance in just minutes, making park access incredibly convenient—especially for World Showcase dining and EPCOT festivals.

You’re also just a short stroll from Disney’s BoardWalk, where you’ll find evening entertainment, casual dining, pizza, and ice cream along Crescent Lake. Between EPCOT and BoardWalk, everything feels connected, which makes it easy to come and go without ever needing a bus or car.

Stormalong Bay: Disney’s Best Pool?

Ask Disney fans why they love Beach Club and many will immediately mention Stormalong Bay.

This three-acre pool complex is often considered the best pool area at Walt Disney World—and after spending time there ourselves, we understand why.

Unlike traditional hotel pools, Stormalong Bay feels more like a mini water park.

Highlights include:

  • Sand-bottom pool areas
  • Shipwreck-themed waterslide
  • Lazy river-style currents
  • Multiple hot tubs
  • Plenty of seating throughout the complex

The pool area is shared with Yacht Club guests and is one of the resort’s biggest draws.

If pool days are a major part of your vacation plans, Beach Club deserves a serious look.

Dining at Beaches & Cream

No Beach Club stay feels complete without a visit to Beaches & Cream.

Known for its classic diner atmosphere and famous ice cream creations, this restaurant remains one of the most popular dining locations in the EPCOT Resort Area.

During our visit, we enjoyed the fun retro atmosphere along with some delicious comfort food.

Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dinner, or simply dessert, Beaches & Cream is worth the reservation.

Of course, the real star of the menu is the ice cream, and YES it’s included with the Disney Dining Plan!

Even if you can’t secure a reservation, the walk-up window is worth checking out during your stay.

Breakfast at Cape May Cafe

Cape May Cafe continues to be a favorite among Disney guests looking for a character breakfast outside the parks.

The restaurant offers a buffet featuring breakfast classics including Mickey waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, pastries, fruit, and more. The omelet station was my go to.

The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, making it a great option before heading to the parks.

Character interactions add to the experience and make it especially appealing for families with younger children.

For guests staying at Beach Club, the convenience of having this dining option right inside the resort is a major perk.

Poolside Dining at Hurricane Hanna’s

Located near Stormalong Bay, Hurricane Hanna’s is perfect when you don’t want to leave the pool area.

This quick-service location offers burgers, sandwiches, salads, drinks, and snacks that make it easy to grab a meal without interrupting your pool day.

While it’s not necessarily a destination dining location, it’s exactly what a great pool bar and grill should be: convenient, casual, and satisfying.

Watching EPCOT Fireworks from the Resort Area

One of our favorite unexpected moments during the trip was watching the EPCOT fireworks from the resort area.

The walkway between Beach Club and EPCOT provides several viewing spots where you can catch portions of the nighttime spectacular without entering the park.

While nothing compares to experiencing the show from inside EPCOT, this was a relaxing alternative that allowed us to enjoy the fireworks while avoiding the crowds at park closing.

It’s also a great option for guests taking a resort day or those who have already left the park for the evening.

What We Loved About Beach Club

After spending time exploring the resort, these were our biggest takeaways:

  • Incredible walking access to EPCOT
  • Easy access to Disney’s BoardWalk
  • Stormalong Bay is every bit as impressive as people say
  • Great dining options without leaving the resort
  • Beautiful resort atmosphere
  • Convenient location for both relaxation and park touring

Things to Consider Before Booking

No resort is perfect for every family.

Beach Club’s biggest downside is its price point. As a Deluxe Resort, it comes with a premium cost compared to Disney’s Value and Moderate Resorts.

The popularity of Stormalong Bay can also mean the resort feels busy during peak travel seasons. BUT – they are very strict and only hotel guests can use Stormalong Bay.

However, for many guests, the location and amenities justify the additional expense.

Is Disney’s Beach Club Resort Worth It?

If location is one of your top priorities, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is difficult to beat.

Being able to walk to EPCOT, enjoy one of the best pool complexes at Walt Disney World, dine at popular restaurants like Beaches & Cream and Cape May Cafe, and spend evenings exploring Disney’s BoardWalk creates a vacation experience that feels uniquely convenient and relaxing.

For families who plan to spend time both in the parks and at their resort, Beach Club offers an outstanding balance of comfort, entertainment, dining, and location.

Would we stay here again?

Absolutely.

For many Walt Disney World visitors, Disney’s Beach Club Resort isn’t just a great resort—it’s one of the very best on Disney property.
